Well it’s about dayuuum time! If you ask me this lawsuit should have been filed a long time ago…
Three years after Real Housewives Of Atlanta Kandi Burress, co-wrote and produced the song “Tardy For The Party” for Kim Zolciak, she has decided to file a lawsuit for not being paid for her work.
According to our blog buddies over at Straight From The A Kandi, filed the lawsuit Tuesday in the United States District Court of the Northern District of Georgia seeking damages from the former Atlanta housewife reality star.
Burruss and co-writer Rodney Richards are seeking “damages for copyright infringement due to Defendants’ unauthorized and unlawful licensing, distribution and sale of Plaintiffs’ creative works, namely a sound recording embodying a performance of a musical composition entitled ‘Tardy for the Party. The song, in which Zolciak’s daughter Brielle gets songwriting credit, sold 102,000 copies, the lawsuit said.
Kim and Kandi recorded the song back in 2009, and Kim has been making money and branding the”Tardy For The Party” name ever since.
Last season on the RHOA reunion show Kandi stated that she never received any compensation from Kim for the song and from the looks of it Kim had no intentions on paying her former BFF either. I’m assuming that’s why she decided to file a lawsuit.
Good for Kandi next time she work with a friend hopefully she make sure her paper work is in order so she don’t have to go through this…

Kandi looks bad filing this lawsuit so late, but I’m still on her side. I think it took her years to see that Kim was never her friend, she was just using her. Team Kandi all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can only imagine how many F bombs Kim is dropping right now.
