Rihanna has been working hard for months preparing to kick off her 27 city Diamonds World Tour.
Her first show which was sold out kicked off this past weekend at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York. However Rihanna had to cancel her second show that was scheduled for tonight in Boston after becoming ill.
Live Nation made the announcement early Sunday morning on Rih Rih’s behalf stating, “Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor’s instruction is unable to perform this evening.”
Rihanna took to her twitter to apologized to her Boston fans as well as thanked her Navy for their well wishes:
#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we’ve been waiting on this day forever, and I’m hurt that I let you down. I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I’m so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes! #DWT
Boston fans who purchased tickets for the show are instructed to hold on to their tickets for now pending rescheduling show date information. As of right now the Baltimore performance scheduled for (Tuesday, March 12th ) is expected to go on as planned.
