Montae Talbert, the rapper know as M-Bone from the music group Cali Swag District, was recently killed in a drive-by shooting in his hometown of Inglewood, California.
M-Bone aka Montae became famous when his group released the smash dance hit ‘Teach Me How to Dougie,’ was sitting inside his vehicle after leaving a local liquor store when a driver coming down La Brea Avenue pulled next to him and started firing rounds of shots shooting him twice in the head. The 22-year-old rapper was rushed to the hospital where he unfortunately was pronounced dead.
According to TMZ M-Bone may have been targeted after a Twitter beef involving his girlfriend got out of hand.
M-Bone’s friends told investigators that after he got back to L.A. from his tour, he went to be with his girlfriend whom he moved in with. A guy who lived in her apartment complex didn’t like their relationship, and allegedly began threatening M-Bone via Twitter.
The girlfriend who is scared and does not want her name used confirmed M-Bone was in a Twitter war with the jealous man. We’re told the jealous man made threats of violence. The girlfriend also told TMZ on Sunday she picked M-Bone up at the airport at 12:15PM and took him back to their apartment. Later that night, at around 10PM, M-Bone took her car and said he was going to the studio to record. She said soon after she got a call from another member of Cali Swag with the devastating news her boyfriend had been shot.
This is really sad, so you mean to tell me this young man just lost his life over a twitter beef?????? Damn, when is this senseless violence going to stop??????
