BMI Unsigned Talent Showcase Went Down At Luckies Lounge In ATL

Atlanta is the new Black Hollywood, you never know who’s gonna show up.   I think the whole city of Atl came out to Luckie’s last night including, Ciara, Lil John, Bow Wow, Lloyd, Chaka Zulu, Diamond, Lil Scrappy, Chingy, Baby of Cash Money, Jazzy Pha, Dallas Austin, Battery 5, (Producers of Chili’s new single Dumb Dumb Dumb)  Richie Rich (Donald Trumps Nephew),  Usher and Tameka, Rich Boy, Polo Da Don, Kerrie Hilson, and I can’t remember who else I ran into.  It was a lot of action going on behind the scenes but despite it all I had a great time.   

Shouts to the four finalist of the BMI showcase, Trimm, Hollyweerd, Jarren Benton, and Brandon Hines who’s from my hometown Detroit.  Although I don’t know who won they all great performances and brought great energy to the stage.

Teyanna Taylor she’s actually a nice girl this was my first time meeting her and she was really down to earth and very humble.   Before her performance she was walking around with a mic and camera playing host interviewing some of the artists.

You know all the ladies crowded the stage for Sean Garrets performance.

Weezy F Baby, even though he was extremely late and not to mention once he arrived he stayed on his tour bus for about a hour before he decided to come inside and perform.  But you know once he came in he rocked the house, so it was well worth the wait.

And Baby even decided to get on stage and perform a few songs with him.

 

Yes he really did bring the guitar out!

Lil Wayne is serious about his guitar, I  guess he truly is a rock star.

Rich Boy came through, I got a chance to talk to Rich Boy briefly remember I said it was a lot going on that night,  I didn’t get to kick it with for that long.  I know he’s in the studio working on his album, so make sure y’all support once it come out.

 Lil John lawd have mercy this was too funny.  Lets just say I normally don’t agree with a man referring to women as the B world, but I couldn’t help but laugh when he called my homie Necole Bitchie a bi!ch about 8 times in a row. He said it without even taken a breath, but we knew he was a little tipsy so we gave him a pass that night.  You know us bloggers ain’t no joke, Me, Necole, and Lauren was gone put beat down on Lil John lol.

 

Lil Scrappy and Bobby V came through.

 

Battery 5 these are the guys that produced the hot new single from Chilli Dumb, Dumb, Dumb which is off the chain.  I had a chance to chat with them on the red carpet and when I say they so cool and down to earth, I can’t wait to hear more of their work. 

Chaka Zulu Ludacris manager came through

I ran into Diamond just before Lil Wayne hit the stage I had to give her props on her boot game.  Diamond been rocking some hella boots lately.  Diamond took me upstairs and introduced me to her manager Amy and we were kicking it about all the cattiness in the industry.  I have to say Diamond is such a sweet down to earth person.  I had no idea she was the  spokes person for Fila.  Get that money girl, can’t wait for album to drop.

And yall know the parking lot was off the chain after the event.  I saw you Joc pulling off in that Bentley you go boy.  Joc was definitely getting his grown man on that night and it looks like he’s even dropped a few pounds.
